At Hartmann House, sustainability isn’t a buzzword - it’s a responsibility. Living and working on the island of Jersey, surrounded by water, we feel that connection to nature every single day. It shapes how we think, how we live, and how we create. It’s why sustainability has become central to everything we do as an agency, from producing fashion shows to curating global events.
Take HartiSWIM, our runway show at Miami Swim Week The Shows 2025. From fabrics to production, sustainability was woven through the creative DNA of that project, proving that style and responsibility can walk hand in hand. In our events, we actively seek out sustainable options, minimising waste, reducing carbon impact and choosing partners who share our vision for a greener future.
This passion for change led us to create HartiLife.com, a collaborative project with Jersey’s iconic coffee house, Cooper & Co. Our mantra was simple: “Art on your cup, change in your hands.” The idea was to use something as everyday as a coffee to spark conversations about protecting our oceans and climate. Because the truth is, it’s in the little things - the choices we make daily - where change begins.
If we’re honest, our journey into sustainability has accelerated in the last five years as we’ve educated ourselves more deeply about climate and ocean protection. As a team, we encourage recycling, upcycling and the philosophy of buying less but buying better. It’s about progress, not perfection, and about understanding that small changes, made consistently, add up to something far bigger.
For us, sustainability isn’t a side project, it’s part of our culture. It informs our decisions, our collaborations and the way we show up as creatives and citizens of the world. And we know we can’t do it alone. So if you have an idea for a collaboration with Harti or Hartmann House in the sustainability space, we’d love to hear from you. Because together, we can make change - one project, one cup, one story at a time.
